About Racer X Designs

Designer Mary Kaczor has had a successful career in car-racing, but has hung up her helmet and driving suit, most of the time, to pursue a career in jewelry design.

Having started making bracelets, chokers and belts for herself to wear she decided to create a collection in her spare time at the race track. Then teammates and other people from the racing fraternity started buying them as gifts for their wives or girlfriends.

The popularity of the jewelry spread and soon it was in exclusive boutiques and then in some of fashion’s cutting edge stores such as Henri Bendels, NYC and Eleven Monte Carlo, Monaco.

First the collection was based on pins and beads, something easy to do and transport while traveling to the races… then coming up with the idea of using car parts as a basis of another new collection.

After showing the prototypes to the Renault F1 Team, the first partnership was struck to design jewelry using Formula One car parts.

This collection was named Bijoux Racing.

What started with the Renault F1 Team, is now on track to expand to other teams and disciplines within the auto racing world, furthering the idea of creative recycling.
